A series of tutorials analysing skeletal and muscular anatomy specifically for artists, this class will cover fundamental principles of the internal and external structures of the body. 

3rd October, 2-4pm: Week 1- The nude under clothing: anatomy of drapery
Themes covered: Presenting alternating nude and clothed poses, artists will learn how fabric drapes over the body and to demonstrate the form of the figure under various fabrics. This will provide a foundation for conceptualising relationships between interior and exterior anatomy
Materials: B to 4B pencil(s), smooth grained drawing paper, coloured pencil, eraser

10th October, 2-4pm: Week 2- Upper body: axillary anatomy
Part of a series of tutorials analysing skeletal and muscular anatomy specifically for artists, this class will cover fundamental principles of the internal and external structures of the body. 
Themes covered: This class will focus on the complex, but visually pleasing muscles surrounding and connected to the axilla; chest, shoulder, back and upper arm

17th October, 2-4pm: Week 3- Upper body: core muscles & arms
Part of a series of tutorials analysing skeletal and muscular anatomy specifically for artists, this class will cover fundamental principles of the internal and external structures of the body. 
Themes covered: The large muscles of the trunk will be explored both from the front and back of the figure. Sometimes overlooked in anatomical study, there will also be detailed descriptions of arm structure and movement

24th October, 2-4pm: Week 4- Lower body anatomy: gluteal and leg muscles
Part of a series of tutorials analysing skeletal and muscular anatomy specifically for artists, this class will cover fundamental principles of the internal and external structures of the body. 
Themes covered: This session focuses on the appendicular lower extremity of the body between the gluteal muscles of the upper leg to the lower leg. Not only will tuition be given in the various movements of the legs, but also suggestions in dynamic foreshortening

31st October, 2-4pm: Week 5- Anatomy of the head, neck and shoulders
Part of a series of tutorials analysing skeletal and muscular anatomy specifically for artists, this class will cover fundamental principles of the internal and external structures of the body.
Themes covered: Skills in portrait drawing and painting are enhanced by a sound understanding of head construction. Besides teaching the anatomy of the head and face, this class investigates in detail the role that neck and shoulder anatomy plays in good portraiture

7th November, 2-4pm: Week 6- Hands, feet
Part of a series of tutorials analysing skeletal and muscular anatomy specifically for artists, this class will cover fundamental principles of the internal and external structures of the body.
Themes covered: At some point in their practice, the artist may find drawing or painting hands and feet to be challenging. The complex structure of both will be demystified in this class allowing artists to turn their new knowledge of hand and foot anatomy into an advantage
